Printed Ephemera — 1920
The Wigwam Papers
'The Wigwam Papers', is the revised edition of Hargrave's book, originally published in 1916 by C Arthur Pearson.
Hargrave's foreward to the new edition is dated 1920 and written from 'Kibbo Kift camp' . It includes two definitions of Kibbo Kift: ' the Kibbo Kift is the Woodcraft Kindred'; to be Kibbo Kift means 'to be a good camper and woodcrafter, to be a clean, strong, upright man ( woman or child).
The book is dedicated 'to scoutmaster Richard Bennett (Gray Fox) and is copiously illustrated by Hargrave with vignettes and diagrams, including directions for 'savage dances for camp'.
