Telephone
The Herald was one of the first electronic call-connect systems to be supplied by British Telecom. This unit comes from the first used in London: the office telephone system of the Telecom Technology Showcase at Baynard House, Blackfriars (later the BT Museum). A label beside each of the 6 buttons lists the various extensions including 'curator', 'doorkeeper', 'showcase office' and 'workshop'.
