Shoe
This pair of woman's black satin bar shoes is decorated with cut steel beads and black sequins and was made between 1921 and 1926. The shoes were bought by mail order from Dickins & Jones in Regent Street by a customer living in Church Stretton in Shropshire.
Harrods took over Dickins and Jones in 1914, when it was regarded as one of the West End's leading department stores.
Lined with black leather and linen. Black satin inner sole with printed gold label which reads; 'Dickins & Jones, high class boot & shoemakers, London, W.' Leather outer sole imprinted with the number 3 1/2.
