Ointment, acne cream
This tube of Salaphene acne cream is a physician's sample. It was collected from the surgery of the Dr F Barber, who practised from 38 Brookfield Park, now in the borough of Camden, from 1956. Dr Barber also treated patients at a second surgery located in Essex Road, Islington. He arrived in London in 1949 as a Jewish refugee, having escaped from the former Czechoslovakia during World War II.
