The March of the Women
Original Music score 'The March of the Women' handwritten by the composer, Dr Ethel Smyth. On the reverse is handwritten 'Presented to Jessie Kenney by Dr Ethel Smyth'. Ethel Smyth was a devoted friend of Emmeline Pankhurst and often provided shelter for her at her home in Surrey when Emmeline was evading recapture under the terms of the Cat and Mouse Act.
