The Post Office Tower
The Post Office Tower was opened to the public by Postmaster-General Anthony Wedgwood Benn in 1966. The Tower was a symbol of Britain's telecommunications revolution. At the time it was also Britain's tallest building and became a major tourist attraction.
This leaflet provides factual information for visitors about the construction and operation of the Tower including its microwave technology. It also describes facilities for the public including the Top of the Tower revolving restaurant.
