Printed Ephemera — 1968
Dialling codes and call charges For coin-box telephones
This booklet was issued by the General Post Office and provides information about the codes and call charges for Subscriber Trunk Dialling. Dialling codes for trunk exchanges are listed alphabetically. By this time all-figure telephone numbers had been introduced in major British cities.
Trunk calls were long distance and from the late 1950s could be made by dialling the number directly without being connected by an operator.
