Printed Ephemera
Child Blindness
The National Council for Combating Venereal Diseases commissioned this poster. Founded after the First World War, this voluntary body worked closely with the Ministry of Health and was responsible for the propaganda and educational side of venereal disease prevention. In its propaganda material, the council equated sexual morality with national efficiency.
The poster was designed and produced by Benson's London advertising agency.
