Part of a decorated samian ware bowl, form Dragendorff 37, with ovolo band, made at one of the potteries in East Gaul. Decorated with panel design including bird figure within festoon and infilled double-bordered medallion. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire.
