Printed Ephemera — 1977
Jubilee Street Party
This certificate was given to Simon Croome at the Empire Horseshoe Street party. The party took place at Launceston Road, Perivale, on 7 June 1977 to commemorate the silver jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
Street parties have been a popular way for local communities to celebrate national and royal events for over 100 years. Such parties are usually the result of local initiative and organisation and aim to involve the whole neighbourhood.
