Monkey cameo
A tiny cameo in the form of a primate (ape or monkey); facing, sitting on its haunches with its right foot grapsed between its hands. The greenish-brown chrysoberyl has been engraved to simulate hair and the back is polished flat. The face is smooth and apparently 'hairless'. Part of the Cheapside Hoard.
