Anti-gas ointment
Issued during World War II, this ointment was intended to counteract the effects of mustard or liquid blister gas on the skin. It could be applied either as a thin film to the skin as a preventative, or as a remedy after contamination. It was not effective against nerve gas. Jars of anti-gas ointment were on sale in general grocery stores and chemists. This jar was sold by the grocery known as Bakers Stores.
