Chair
The architect and designer Serge Ivan Chermayeff designed this BBC announcer's chair in 1933. When the new headquarters for the BBC opened at Broadcasting House, Portland Place, Chermayeff, a Russian émigré who moved to America in 1940, was commissioned to design many of the interior fittings.
