Celluloid photo button badge of Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence. Badges bearing portraits of the suffragette leaders Christabel and Emmeline Pankhurst and Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence were mass produced by the Women's Social and Political Union. Sold to supporters for one penny, they raised funds for the campaign 'war chest' and enhanced the public profile of the suffragette leaders.
