In Memory of James Ingram
Memorial card of embossed and pieced lace paper by Windsor with an uncoloured design in low-relief incorporating a weeping willow tree, an angel and a weeping mourner. Printed with a black border and the announcement on a central panel representing a memorial stone 'In memory of James Ingram, died February 3rd 1862 aged 10 years interred at Abney Park cemetery'. Below is printed the undertaker's credit line 'J Dix sen undertaker 3 Aylesbury Street, Clerkenwell Green.' Such items were used by undertakers as a publicity opportunity for their business and were often provided free of charge.
