Memorials at Golders Green Crematorium
This eight page brochure introduces Golders Green Crematorium, its services and facilities. It was founded in 1902 by Sir Henry Thompson who had been a surgeon to Queen Victoria and was the first to open in London. Specific facilities of the crematorium include 'The Columbaria' where cremated remains can be placed in niches and a 'Shrine of Remembrance', which houses for those of the Jewish faith, the 'Scroll of Remembrance' that records the names of loved ones in a month that has special meaning. The flap of the inside back cover contains six separate sheets: a memorials price list, an application for Book of Remembrance/Jewish Scroll, an application for dedication of a rose/shrub by post, an application for crocus remembrance, an application for blue leather panel and an information and application for commemoration vase, and a return pre-paid envelope addressed to 'The Memorial Counsellor'.
