Token, trade token
Copper alloy trade token, obverse stamped with 'ALLAN/SON & Co' and 'DRAPERS, MERCERS, SHAWLMEN, LACEMEN & FURRIERS' around edge. Reverse is stamped with dome of St Paul's in centre and 'WATERLOO HOUSE 6[?]70 & 71 ST PAULS CHYD LONDON' around edge. The token is pierced at the top and a fine cord is threaded through. The token was found beneath the front basement (former kitchen) fireplace of a house in Hackney during the removal of a 20th century fireplace.
