Admit to the Dome of Discovery
Admission ticket to the Dome of Discovery on the occasion of the first visit of the King and Queen on 4 May 1951. The Dome was part of the South Bank Exhibition for the Festival of Britain, 1951. It was a giant saucer-like structure clad in aluminium. Inside there were displays showing how Britain had contributed to discoveries about the earth and the universe. The Dome was 365 feet in diameter, one for each day of the year.
