In Loving Memory
This memorial card's cover has an illustration of woman holding a cross and leaning over to save a woman in the sea. It has a black and silver border with the words 'In Loving Memory' beneath the engraving.
Inside, a quotation from The Gospel of St John, xi, 25-26, beginning with the words 'I am the resurrection and the life' is included with, on the facing page, details of Flora Labinia Black 'who departed this life' on 25 April 1906, at the age of 34 years. Her body was interred at Acton Cemetery, in a private grave. The card has been issued by B Seymour, undertaker, 262 Goldhawk Road, Shepherd's Bush.
Acton Cemetery was founded in 1895 and is located off Park Royal Road and near North Acton Station. It divided in half by a railway line.
