Mr Grimoldi as Clawn in Mother Bunch
Uncoloured theatrical souvenir portrait plate printed with an engraving of the actor Mr Grimaldi in the role of the Clown in the pantomime Mother Bunch, as performed at the Theatre Royal Covent Garden. Published June 15 1827 by BM DeBurson (successor to W.Clarke), at his Theatrical Print Warehouse. The portrait is entitled 'DeBurson's Theatrical Portraits from Original Drawings No 40'. Such portraits would have been sold as theatrical souvenirs for colouring and tinselling at home.
