Gunnersbury House, the seat of Princess Amelia.
Gunnersbury House, the seat of Princess Amelia. Gunnersbury House was built by John Webb in 1658-63 for Sir John Maynard, Charles II's legal adviser, and Princess Amelia, daughter of George II, used it as her summer residence from 1763 to 1786. The house, which stood in Gunnersbury Park, was demolished in 1801.
