Bottle, codd bottle
Green glass Codd bottle with cone shaped neck, pinched shoulders for marble, and moulded lettering 'Crystal Registered Trademark, REDFEARN BROS BOTTLEMAKERS, BARNSLEY, THIS BOTTLE BELONGS TO SOUTER MACKENZIE & CO, DOVER & FOLKESTONE'. The Redfearn works, at Old Mill, Barnsley, was founded in 1862 and was an important bottle manufacturer. It was aborbed into the multi-national Rexam group in the 1990s.
