Queen Victoria Mourning Card
This mourning card is in loving memory of Queen Victoria who died on 22 January 1901. It is printed on cream card with silver & black borders. On the front cover the words 'They Will be Done' are printed, embellished with a sprig of ivy leaves and daisies in silvered white and green. Inside an engraved portrait medallion of Queen Victoria and a verse by Eric Mackay. On the opposite side, there are pertinent dates of the Queen's life including that her of death. Such cards were bought by the general public as a way of mourning for the queen's death and acknowledging her long reign.
