Printed Ephemera — 1929 -1930
Programme, circus programme
Programme for Bertam W. Mills circus, 10th Olympia Season, 1929-30. It is illustrated with drawings and photographs, and the cover shows Adele Nelson with her famous dancing baby elephants. The outer loose cover has an illustration of the equestrian performer Andrew Ducrow in the character of a Wild Indian Hunter. Other photographs show the acrobats of Long Tack Sam's Chinese Revue. Most of the troupe were born in China, but Long Tack Sam's wife and two of their children were born in Austria. This was the first time that the troupe had performed in England.
