Medal & case
Bronze commemorative medal from the 1948 London Olympic Games, as issued to all the competitors. This one is from a set given to the London Museum by the Organising Commitee following the end of the games. The medals were made by the London firm, John Pinches and adapted a 1908 design by Sir Bertram Mackennal showing the Houses of Parliament on one side and the chariot of Fame on the other.
