Affection is a Heavenly boon Which cannot be bestowed to soon
Valentine's card comprising a top sheet of white lace paper with plain, central roundel handpainted with a lake and rowing boat surrounded by a floral garland. Also with the handwritten message 'Affection is a Heavenly boon Which cannot be bestowed to soon'. A sheet of pink tissue paper has been inserted under the lace paper to enhance the effect of the perforated design. This is a sample card and is marked with the wholesaler's stock note 'No 0 5/3d dozen'.
