Abstract of the Regulations Relating to the Treatment and Conduct of Convicted Prisoners.
Notice of prison regulations. Prison rules stated that, for criminal prisoners, the first four weeks of a sentence had to be served in solitary confinement. Imprisoned for fighting for political rights, suffragettes opposed their classification as criminals and fought for political prisoner status.
