Whitton Place, Middlesex
Whitton Place, Middlesex, Lord Islay (later 3rd duke of Argyll) lived here and in 1725 planted many cedar of Lebanon that were later moved to Kew Gardens, whose designer William Chambers also later lived here. The house was demolished in 1847; the grounds are now part of Whitton Park.
