Zoological Gardens - the Parrot Walk
An illustration of the Parrot Walk in the Zoological Gardens, Regent's Park, from the book 'London: a Pilgrimage' by Blanchard Jerrold and Gustave Doré, 1872. A 'Guide to the Gardens of the Zoological Society of London' of 1873 records that there were over eighty species of parrots in the Zoo, including the Ganga Cockatoo of Australia, and the Kaka Parrot of New Zealand.
