Garden Tea Party
Toy model Garden Tea Party set stored in original card box with coloured paper label illustrated with figures and items within. The set comprises a cast iron red table with orange plastic umbrella, 4 yellow Lloyd loom style cast iron chairs and four figures (2 boy & 2 girl children). The set was made by the Crescent Toy Company, founded by Henry Eagles and Arthur Schneider in Islington in the 1920s. During World War II, production of cast metal toys was halted to help the war effort, but business resumed afterwards. By 1950, the Company was producing a range of cast metal toys including soldiers, racing cars, historical figures, model aircraft, warships and farm equipment.
