A Friendly Remembrance
Handfinished Valentine's card comprising two layers of embossed and white lace paper attached by paper springs or hinges. The top layer is elaborately embossed with a design incorporating figures, gazebos, foliage and flowers surrounding a central open panel. Applied to the top layer are two garlands of embossed, coloured paper leaves and flowers and a paper scrap printed 'A Friendly Remembrance'. The second layer is also lavishly embossed with figures surrounded by foliage and trees. The central oval panel of this layer has an applied sheet of rice paper handpainted with a lakeside setting.
