Pure Friendship
Handfinished Valentine's card comprising two identical layers of lace paper embossed with cupid figures. The under layer is painted pink, the top layer is green and silver and they are attached by folded paper hinges or springs. Applied to the central oval panels a sheet of white rice paper handpainted with a church in a rural setting. The card is also decorated with an applied garland of gilded and coloured embossed leaves and flowers and a cut out embossed paper image of two cupid figures riding astride two silver swans. A small paper scrap is printed 'Pure Friendship'.
