Printed Ephemera — 1998
Telling it like it is
Pamphlet printed in colour entitled 'Telling it like it is ....'., published by GALOP, an organisation which offers assistance to lesbians, gay men and bisexuals in dealing with homophobic violence and the police. This 57 page booklet details the results of a survey of young lesbian, gay and bisexual people. It shows the prevalence of verbal, physical and sexual abuse in their lives. Recommendations for improving the situation include the repeal of Section 28, equalising the age of consent and the introduction of 'Hate Crimes' legislation. It also advises the inclusion of lesbian, gay and bisexual issues in sex education.
