A Women's Demonstration to Welcome Mrs Pankhurst
Handbill advertising a women's demonstration to be held on Thursday 9th December 1909 in the Royal Albert Hall. The gathering was called to welcome Emmmeline Pankhurst on her return from a lecture and fundraising tour of USA. Speakers include Emmeline Pankhurst and Christabel Pankhurst.
The leaflet is folded and printed both sides. Inside is printed a list of women to be presented a medal of valour in acknowledgement of their periods of imprisonment.
The bill is printed in purple and green and includes Sylvia Pankhurst's logo of a woman emerging from a prison gate, stepping over her broken chains surrounded by a flock of doves.
