Court of Honour, Japan-British Exhibition
Mounted giant souvenir colour postcard showing a view of the the Court of Honour at White City. The Court of Honour was the centrepiece of White City. Designed by Imre Kiralfy, it was 400 feet (over 120 metres) long and surrounded by Oriental- and Indian-style exhibition pavilions. In the centre was a lake, spanned by a bridge. At one end of the court was the impressive Congress Hall, with its spectacular waterfall. At night 100,000 electric lights illuminated the court.
