Your Luck's In! Where's That Vote You Promised Me?
Pro-female suffrage propaganda postcard printed with an image of a 'lucky' black cat and the caption, 'Your Luck's In, Where's That Vote You Promised Me? The background of the postcard is printed in green, the eyes of the cat coloured gold - these colours possibly intended to represent the gold/green/white colour scheme of the Women's Freedom League. The card was published by the comic postcard publisher E Mack for the International Suffrage Shop located at 31 Bedford Street.
The International Suffrage Shop was opened by the Portuguese born Suffragette Sime Seruya at 31 Bedford Street in 1910. In March 1911 the store moved to Adam Street in the Strand. Described as 'The Only Feminist Bookshop' it sold a range of feminist publications as well as postcards, posters and badges.
