With Best Xmas Wishes
Christmas greetings postcard published by the Women's Social and Political Union. The postcard is headed with the purple, white and green roundel logo designed by Sylvia Pankhurst of a woman sowing seed. Below is printed a verse from
the poem Egypt written by the Reverend John Mason Neale in 1858 and the greeting 'With Best Xmas Wishes'. The sender's name has been added by hand.
A range of greetings cards were produced by the WSPU from 1908. Sold through the WSPU shops and mail order they were intended to raise funds and promote the Suffragette message
