Florence Nightingale Making Her Night Rounds
Picture postcard printed with a black and white engraving depicting the nurse 'Florence Nightingale Making Her Night Rounds'. The engraving was originally published in the Illustrated London News in 1856, however, the postcard notes this image was reproduced from the publication A History of Nursing published by G.P. Putnam's Sons in 1907.
The postcard was issued by the pro-female suffrage campaign to celebrate the achievements of historical heroines and raise their status as inspirational female role models.
