The treasury department, also known as the Financial Secretary's office, Clement's Inn, September 1911. Fundraising was vital to the success of the WSPU campaign. Large donations from wealthy members were supplemented by a range of income-generating schemes that included bazaars, the sale of merchandise, coffee mornings and 'Self-Denial' weeks.
