Queen Anne's Gate
Queen Anne's Gate, Westminster SW1, 1886. This photograph was commissioned by the Society for Photographing Relics of Old London to form part of a permanent visual record of historic buildings threatened with alteration or possible demolition in the 1870s and 1880s.
However, this statue of Queen Anne survives to this day. It was moved slightly to its present position in 1873 when Queen Square and Park Street were combined and renamed Queen Anne's Gate.
