The Sugar Loaf
William Fry issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Sugar Loaf, in Wapping, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 3300; Obv inscription: WIL.FRY.AT.THE.SVGGAR (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A sugar-loaf (in field); Rev insciption: LOFE.IN.WAPPING (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.F (in field, in Roman capitals).
