The Two Brewers
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the 2 Brewers tavern, in Saffron Hill, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2443; Obv inscription: AT.THE.2.BREWERS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device =Two brewers carrying a barrel (in field); Rev inscription: ON.SAFRON.HILL (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = G.A.P. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
