Dagger, rondel dagger
Iron rondel dagger with a single-edged blade and circular guard. The iron has traces of brazing. The leather grip has a tubular brass rivet. There is a c-shaped maker's mark in a brass square. The blade is in 2 pieces. Many daggers have been found in the Thames. Some are broken, and may have been deliberately disposed by the Cutlers' Company, which had the right to confiscate substandard or foreign knives and daggers being sold in London.
