Jug, jug handle
Jug handle, D-shaped in section, with a corroded thumb grip at the top and broken at the lower end, well above the original terminal; at the top the handle divides into two curved brackets, by which it was attached to the body of the vessel; corroded lug for a hinged lid between the two arms. This is probably from a water jug with a hinged lid.
