Coin, as
A copper alloy as of Emperor Domitian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 81-96. The back of the coin depicts Virtus, the personification of courage and bravery. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 86.
Obv: Laureate bust of Domitian, facing right, with aegis on neck. Obv inscription: IMP CAES DOM[IT AVG G]ERM COS XII CENS PER PP. Rev: Virtus, standing right, holding a vertical spear in his right hand and a parazonium (dagger) in the left, with his left foot set on a helmet. Rev inscription: [VIRTVTI] AVGVSTI, SC in field.
