Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2832; Obv inscription: IOHN.TRIMNELL (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A cow [Boyne has stag at gaze] (in field); Rev inscription: IN.SHORDICH.1657 [Boyne has .65] (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.I.T. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Shoreditch, now Shoreditch High Street, lay in the parish of St Leonard Shoreditch, in Holborn, Middlesex; the area is now part of the London Borough of Hackney.
