The Bell
Walter Bigg issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Bell in the parish of St Giles in the Fields, Middlesex.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2483; Obv inscription: WALT.BIGG.AT.THE.BEL.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A bell (in field); Rev inscription: GYLESES.IN.THE.FEILDES (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A bell (in field).
