Penny toy sewing machine
Miniature tinplate toy treadle sewing machine. Spirit painted dark blue with gold painted turning wheel and bedplate attached to gold treadle base. The blue sliding drawer below the base can be used as a sweet or candy container. Purchased for one penny (1d) from a London street trader on on 2nd December 1905.
