Jeremiah Arnold issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in Newgate Market.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 2017; Obv inscription: IEREMIAH.ARNOLD (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A French horn (in field); Rev inscription: IN.NEWGETT.MARKET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.E.A. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
