Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1684; Obv inscription: THOMAS.SAWYER.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A woman churning (in field); Rev inscription: IN.LEADENHALL.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field).
The issuer may be ?Thomas Sawyer of St Peter Cornhill, born 1640, Clothworker, florished 1671, see Percival Boyd, [Inhabitants of London]. Society of Genealogists, MS. 17336.
